Education should not aim at passive awareness of dead facts, but at an activity directed towards the world that our efforts are to create. ~ Bertrand Russell
Never let school interfere with your education. ~ Mark Twain
The difference between ignorant and educated people is that the latter know more facts. But that has nothing to do with whether they are stupid or intelligent. The difference between stupid and intelligent people–and this is true whether or not they are well-educated–is that intelligent people can handle subtlety. They are not baffled by ambiguous or even contradictory situations–in fact, they expect them and are apt to become suspicious when things seem overly straightforward. ~ Neal Stephenson
Welcome to Open Source University (OSU)
My vision for this page is to provide free resources found on the internet that educate and inspire. I will include on here resources in the format of university lectures, free talks, religious sermons, books, papers, scholarly articles, and much more. Through my research on the internet I’ve found online lectures given in university classrooms like Harvard, Stanford, Yale and MIT; sermons of faith from pulpits around the world; and talks presented by world leaders and some of the most prominent creative thinkers today. If you have any additional links or resources or if you run across a link that is no longer active, please feel free to e-mail me at colbykclark@yahoo.com
